Terms of service

These are the terms on which Tutrix Learn, run by Fathima K and Ruquiya K, provides one-to-one Maths and Accountancy classes. They are written to be readable rather than clever.
What we provide
Live, one-to-one online tuition for school students. Maths: CBSE classes 7 to 10 for students in India, the UAE and Qatar, and grades 7 to 10 for students in the United States, taught by Fathima K. Accountancy: classes 11 and 12 for students in India, the UAE and Qatar, following CBSE, ISC and other Indian boards, taught by Ruquiya K, a Chartered Accountant (The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India). Each session normally runs for 60 minutes. The first trial class of 30 minutes is free and carries no obligation.
Who may enrol
Students are usually under 18, so a parent or guardian must make the enquiry and agree to these terms. Parents are responsible for their child's use of the platform.
Accounts
- Accounts are created by us, not by public sign-up. Each student and each parent has a separate login.
- Keep your password to yourself. Tell us at once if you think somebody else has it.
- Accounts are for the named person only and must not be shared.
Classes, timings and cancellations
- Class times are agreed between the teacher and the family and can be rescheduled by agreement.
- Please give as much notice as you can if a class must move. Classes missed without notice may still be counted.
- If the teacher must cancel, the class is rescheduled or not charged.
- Because places are one-to-one and limited, an agreed slot is held for your child alone.
Fees
Fees depend on the level and the number of sessions per week and are agreed in writing before regular classes begin. They are not collected through this website. Any refunds are handled fairly and case by case.
Acceptable use
- Use the classroom, whiteboard and chat for learning, politely.
- Do not record, copy or publish classes, teaching material or the platform without written permission.
- Do not upload anything unlawful, harmful or that you do not have the right to share.
- We may end access if these rules are seriously or repeatedly broken.
Your content
Work your child produces belongs to your child. Teaching materials, worksheets and the platform itself belong to Tutrix Learn. You are given permission to use materials for your own child's learning, and not to redistribute them.
Technology
You need a reasonably modern computer or tablet, a microphone and an internet connection. Classes depend on your internet connection as well as ours; if a class is badly disrupted by a technical failure on our side, it will be made up.
What we promise, and what we do not
We promise honest, prepared, personal teaching. No tutor can guarantee a particular mark or exam result, and we do not claim to. We aim to keep the service available at agreed class times but cannot promise the platform will never have a fault.
Ending classes
You may stop classes at any time by telling us. We may end classes if fees are not paid as agreed, if these terms are broken, or if we can no longer offer a suitable time. Your saved lessons remain available for a reasonable period afterwards.
